Santa Barbara Keratoconus & Scleral Lens Clinic

Urban Optics Optometric Center in Santa Barbara provides consultation and treatment for Keratoconus.

Dr. David Zucker, O.D. has special training regarding scleral lenses, and is a member of the Scleral Lens Education Society.

If you have keratoconus or think you may have keratoconus, Dr. Zucker will perform a personalized evaluation with computerized video keratography (Corneal Topography), along with a biomicroscope exam and other techniques to diagnose or rule out keratoconus.

If diagnosed with keratoconus, corneal ectasia, post-LASIK or RK complications, or have already had a corneal transplant (penetrating keratoplasty), Dr. Zucker will personally consult you on what is the best option or keratoconus treatment. Sometimes glasses or soft contacts will suffice in giving you clear, comfortable vision. However, if those options are not satisfactory, Dr. Zucker may recommend The Atlas Program.
