David Zucker, O.D.

Originally from Baltimore, MD, but raised in Scottsdale, AZ, Dr. Zucker attended Arizona State University in which he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. He then moved to Chicago and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from The Illinois College of Optometry. While attending The Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Zucker was active in the American Optometric Association (AOA) in which he served as the Political Action Committee (PAC) Liaison for his school. As the AOA PAC Liaison, Dr. Zucker traveled twice to Washington D.C., in which he teamed up with others to fight for patients’ rights to access quality eye care. He completed a rigorous training program and internship, which included multiple optometric training sites: The Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, IL; The Aleda E. Lutz Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Saginaw, MI; Omni Eye Services in Atlanta, GA; and Daniel and Davis Optometry in Carlsbad, CA. He then went on to practice full scope Eye Care in Southern Vermont for the next few years.

  • Corneal Foreign Body Removal with surgical spud, then bandage contact lens

  • Conjunctivitis
  • Fuch’s Corneal Dystrophy and many other eye diseases.

He also has special training with respect to Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), Keratoconus, Dry Eye Disease and Headache/Dizziness Treatment.

Dr. Zucker is proud to call Santa Barbara his home. And when he’s not in the office, you’ll find him active and outdoors throughout the year. He takes pleasure in playing soccer and other outdoor sports and activities all year.
